Got a delivery date for my car. 3/18! SO EXCITED!

Has anyone in the DFW area had opti coat applied to their car? I'm interested in hearing opinions/details, specifically about where you had it done (price, quality, etc). Would also love to hear some opinions/details about clear bra if anyone has had that done.

I'm picking up a SWP BRZ this weekend that will be my DD, and I want something that would help protect the paint over the long term. I'm horrible about washing my cars, like maybe once a month but that's probably a bit generous. Detailing is MAYBE once a year.

I can't comment on opticoat but I did have a clear bra (3M) put on when the car was 1 week old ... just after my first front end chip. I had Glacier Tinting on South Cooper in Arlington do the job. I have had them do this and tint work for me before. I got both the front end and the extra for the hood and mirrors. It looks nice on my WRB but you can see the lines in bright sunlight. On my other car with a clear bra, I have waxed over it with no problem. Cost was $700 plus tax.

So anyone else interested in making the drive for the 86EXPO (June 14-15, 2013 @ Las Vegas)?? I see on the thread that CarbonBLUE is going. I was thinking about going and driving the whole way, I have yet to go to Las Vegas so that is a plus as well. I doubt alot of the people around Texas would want to drive this far but was wondering maybe get a group of us and drive to Las Vegas together.

I may be going depending on work

but im down for a drive there

This looks to be about an 18 hour drive, I would guess it would need to be split up into 2 days. Or would it be better just to go for it all at once?

I'm not completely set on this either it depends on a few things but if it all works out for me it would be awesome to go with other FRS/BRZ.
