After many months of machining, and fabricating one off parts... We were able to replace the stock 1.3L Rotary with a fully built 6.0L LS2.
One of the challenges for this car was to make the old engine harness communicate with the Mazda CAN bus system... Inside the car, you would never know it has an LS2 inside. Everything including the A/C works. As soon as you turn the key.... whole different story.
