May 19 "Car Club Challenge" Karting at Lemans - Toyota GR86, 86, FR-S and Subaru BRZ Forum & Owners Community

Hey Folks, just gaging some interest. Lemans karting in Fremont started doing "Car Club Challenges" which is really just a weekend morning enduro that pits teams from different car clubs. Here's the details (I will update if anything changes)

Sunday, May 19
2 ½ hour team endurance event
8:00am arrival
5 drivers per team @ $75 per driver
Teams must wear Club shirts on race day
Random kart draw
Minimum 9 pit stops (each driver does two stints during race)
Minimum 15 minutes drive time for each driver
Drivers are responsible for their own team communications and race strategies
Car show in parking lot
Food, prizes, and more

It sounds like a lot of fun, but I myself may not be able to make it to this event (plus its a little pricey for me) but wanted to let people know if there was any interest. Feel free to use this thread to organize a team and make FT86club proud

I know there are some fast guys out there from the last karting meet, lol

this sounds like fun. i don't qualify for being a driver... but i think it'd be fun to watch and hang out!

I was by no means fast at the last get together. I think we should field an all girl-team (generally lower body mass, better teamwork) and the guys will come as cheerleaders! LOL

just cause no way i'd have the kind of experience or skill that most anybody else coming to this has for this kind of event. i still consider myself very much a noob.

Oh sorry, meant to say, this would be a fun experience to watch. Get some really great kart folks in competition.

Nor Cal Owners Club shirts/hoodies? This event may Be A Bit out of my price range (especially Since i have never Gone karting before) but I'd rock one and be There For a meetup.

yeah, at that price point I'd expect the other clubs/competitors to be at the top of their game, and highly competitive. I don't think I am at that level and wouldn't want to disappoint other team members who are.

But yeah I'd be down for just the club t-shirt.
