If you've got a soldering iron try reflowing the solders around the power input. I've fixed a couple laptops with this problem by doing this.

Someone stole my card once and had a little spending spree, but I was reimbursed the day I reported it. They didn't get much since I was like 16 or 17 at the time. lol
