Racer X Fabrication suspension parts, and development

Well for a little back ground check out our intro thread here:
http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=30916

We picked up our BRZ last September and have been busy developing parts and now we are finally releasing them. The rear lower control arms are full 4130 chromoly steel, along with the trailing arms. We make all of our own parts including the threaded rod ends. This allows us to be quite creative at times, and in some cases build several prototypes until we are happy with the result.

Here are the rear control arms, trailing arms and adjustable rear end links. We are currently finishing the front control arms and will release two version one with the OEM ball joint and the other with a fully adjustable spherical bearing at the ball joint location to optimize handling for racing.

Front lower adjustable control arms added: 3/20/13 (pics below)

Rear upper adjustable control arms added: 3/26/13 (pics below)

Final pics added: 6/2/13, starting at post 95

If you have any questions about parts we are working on, our would like us to develop some parts you might be interested in feel free to shoot me an email : info@racerxfabrication.com

Adjustable rear end links:

Front control arms development, and OEM front adjustable end links

Here are a few pics of the development we are working on for the front control arms. We have 2 prototypes, and currently working on a 3rd. We should be releasing these soon.

(Update): Front control arm design is finalized, and we will be running a pre-order for them soon. Pics added below.

We also have OEM front adjustable end links for the sway bar.

What are people's opinions about running rose joints on the street? I'm worried about dirt and grime screwing the ball joints but don't know if its validated or not.

We use FK rod ends, PTFE lined 3/4-16" thread diameter. We can use any bearing you would like if we make a set to order, we are pretty flexible about these things.

Yes, we build just about everything in house. The only exception on these parts are the rod ends, and ball joints.

We can provide the rod ends with dust boots. We have been using the rod ends on the street for sometime in the MR2 application with no ill effects. They are great in racing applications. We have been considering offer the arms with a urethane bushing.

I hope the pricing on these front LCA's is decent because I really want to get rid of the squishy front suspension components, but I'm too lazy to replace all the individual bushings with poly... These with some good top hats, and I'm good to go out front.

Which series FK? Did you use those because most don't want to pay or NHBB or even Aurora bits or just prefer the FK ones? No I'm not saying FK is bad

We will be running a group buy/sale thread in the vendor section soon. Right now pricing is available on the website, you can click the logo in my signature if you would like to check prices.

Yes, we are proudly made in the USA and the majority if not all of the product is made by us. !! We have received emails before about Racer X Engineering products.

We will do our best to keep price reasonable, that is one of the benefits of making the parts it gives us much more control over price.

We will use the FK-JMX12T. You have actually brought up a good point, we should offer the other rod ends as a choice. I will have that added as an option drop down on the site. You are correct, most do not want the added cost of a very high quality rod ends or bearings. From our experience the FK rod ends/bearings are quite stout and a good price for the quality.
