IMO, the characters in Initial D 4th stage anime are drawn the best, in terms of the girls... but wait, isn't Kyoko the only female racer in Stage 4? If you compare the drawing in anime and comic, you can see that the anime incarnation is better.

In stage 5, it seems it is drawn more towards to the original, un-cute, of Shigeno's version.

Luckily, Mako should appear later in ID5. It is unclear whether Kyoko will be hiding somewhere on the track for the race..

And I will leave this scene in Ep. 09 here.. not shown in the comic.
