Second, because you really can't see things like tip in enrichment, and load based long term fueling changes on a dyno, and it's this sort of adjustment that makes a good tune great . Third, in fact very very few dyno shops understand exactly how to load an engine/ platform to replicate the wot runs you do on the track( notice I said track, don't want you boys and girls breaking the law, too much). Now, I can't speak directly to the question about MRT and why they charge so much more than we do( that's a collective we) here in the states. But I will tell you this; Ecutek GB has had a contract with them for many years, and as such can't simply start a different distributor in Australia. And we( again,collectively speaking) master tuners, are bound by our agreement with Ecutek GB not to step on MRT's toes, so to speak. I know it happens, and that it's attractive to the folks down under to call us and buy a set up with tuning, cable and license for 700.00(675~A$) vs the 1240.00(1200~A$) MRT charges . Same features, same output, for less money, who would not be tempted? But the fact is, we can't sell to you if you have a Australian billing address, that would violate our contracts with the mother ship, so to speak. However I have quite a few folks with accents from down under call me and order units to be shipped to Ca or Florida. Funny thing is, they all seem to use the same ship to addresses!
