I wouldn't do it for the price these idiots are charging. Go FA20club.com or Visconti if you live in Aus and hurt MRT's business.
Not really quite true! Tuning on a dyno ( and it needs to be a load cell, at that) is not the end all, be all. In fact you will find that most of us that do this for a living prefer to base tune, street datalogs, then final open loop adjustments on the dyno.

Why you ask? Well simple, first the logic used for KR and advance on these cars is very very slick, and datalogs allow us to get the finest cutting edge for each car. Second, because you really can't see things like tip in enrichment, and load based long term fueling changes on a dyno, and it's this sort of adjustment that makes a good tune great . Third, in fact very very few dyno shops understand exactly how to load an engine/ platform to replicate the wot runs you do on the track( notice I said track, don't want you boys and girls breaking the law, too much).

Now, I can't speak directly to the question about MRT and why they charge so much more than we do( that's a collective we) here in the states. But I will tell you this; Ecutek GB has had a contract with them for many years, and as such can't simply start a different distributor in Australia. And we( again, collectively speaking) master tuners, are bound by our agreement with Ecutek GB not to step on MRT's toes, so to speak. I know it happens, and that it's attractive to the folks down under to call us and buy a set up with tuning, cable and license for 700.00(675~A$) vs the 1240.00(1200~A$) MRT charges . Same features, same output, for less money, who would not be tempted?

But the fact is, we can't sell to you if you have a Australian billing address, that would violate our contracts with the mother ship, so to speak. However I have quite a few folks with accents from down under call me and order units to be shipped to Ca or Florida. Funny thing is, they all seem to use the same ship to addresses! Go figure.........

For the rest of you in the world, we have a new shipment inbound, with a good stock on hand

Silly question, but how does ecutek get the stock rom? Do they buy it from toyota? Or is it all done using in-house experts?

I was being charitable to MRT on the price. I've heard from A1200 to A1800$.

Drop me a line, and I'll be happy to help answer your questions

I'm actually bouncing between Nameless and the JDL UEL for the header. I really am partial to the UEL sound and most of the EL's have a bit of rasp to them.
