Really' haven't had much road time with it.

The day of the test was raining cats and dogs. 255/40/17 RS3's didn't want to hook up at all with even half throttle. And now we got 2-3 inches of snow, and it's still falling. Before then the pavement and tires were so cold we still couldn't get full throttle grip in 2nd or 3rd in the car on dry streets.

We really need some warmer dry weather up here. We have our first autocross in 2 weeks so hopefully we can get some melting action quickly!

Seems weather always has to go ruin everything - lol.

Seems like the power is there though. I know for sure I can't break loose with half throttle in the rain, thats for sure haha. Could be the tires but I rather be naive and say its from the extra power.

Have you been driving it around with the catted downpipe/overpipe/catback combo? Is it too loud for DD or "being unnoticed?"

I bet it would be crazy loud too, I want a header - but I would need one WITH a cat because my SRT header back replaces the secondary & I care about the environment

Running it right now with a catted Invidia Front Pipe.

No one has been driving it really due to it's no-grip at all nature and not wanting to wreck it, lol.

I can say however that the current combo isn't bad. We will be running it like this on One Lap so being stuck in the car for 9 straight days we need to be able to live with the sound output. Once it gets warmer I'll be driving it more and more.

Where I live, its constant hassling by cops for exhausts...so i'm trying to make sure i'm safe if I upgrade. I dont plan on touching the stock downpipe/overpipe most likely, unless I go F/I. Not sure a catted front pipe would be louder than the stock piece.

This UEL header sounds soo good...the few EL headers i've heard make this car sound like a Honda with a full exhaust

Come on just buy one and you will like it!

I bought it myself with a greddy SP elite axleback without hearing it before.

The chance smile to those who take risks after all.

And If ever you dont like it, just resell it here on the forum.

How are you avoiding check engine lights? Do you have the stock ecu tune?

I have a feeling that I'll dislike the volume of the UEL header with any other exhaust modifications. I know the gains won't be as good leaving the rest of the exhaust stock, but I don't want to risk being obnoxiously loud. I'm most concerned about keeping stock muffler which maintains the proper airflow underneath the back of the car. I know it's only important at really high speeds, but it makes me feel better knowing that there's no aero disruptions underneath the car either reducing stability, slowing me down, or both when I'm tracking at high speeds. I'm also open to a full diffuser, but so far there are no easy bolt on options.

The ecutek tune will take care of the cel issue. ( check engine light )

If you install only the UEL header and keep the rest of the exhaust stock I'm sure it will not be loud at all.

You should not worry about that.

Is there anyway you guys throw the header on a stock car to get a dyno graph? I'm really curious on what the header does on it's own w.o a full exhaust. Or even just a car with a full exhaust + the header would be awesome. Would give us as a community a better understanding on how this header stacks up to the Nameless Header that isn't released yet. Also if it's not asking to much even a un-flashed pull then a pull with the tune would be dope. Thanks guys!!! Look forwards to my order sometime at the end of next month!

I should also mention that I'm in an emissions state (no visual inspection) and I'm not sure the car would pass a smog test via obd2 even if there was no CEL with an EcuTek tune, and the secondary cat were present. To make obd2 emissions testing work I'd have to move the o2 sensors fore and aft of the secondary cat, right? That would probably be a pain in the ass.
