Sorry, the mention thing doesn't always notify me.

I did try them inside and they pinched my neck when tightened.

Finally installed the harness today. I did install it to the rear seatbelt reel bolt, definitely a pita. Lost one of the white clips holding the triangle piece into no mans land, hope it doesn't rattle.

How long would you say it took to do one?

would these pass inspection at a HPDE event? Or does it depend on the organization?

It depends. They are DOT approved but I know NASA was not allowing them. PCA also had some issues around them as well.

As for install time I would give 45 minutes for each side.

Did you install a belt with anti-submarine (ASM) or just a standard four point?

The Rallye 3 is a 4 point belt and has no provision for an ASM blt. The Schroth harnesses have some technology built in so you do not submarine (why they are called ASM), but if used incorrectly you can submarine in situations you wouldn't with a 3 point and in a frontal crash will cause a lot of bodily harm. Sparco makes a 4 point belt without this so some organizations just ban all 4 point harnesses.

I am just using it for autocross right now.

@ATLBRZ are these legal for local tracks? it would be nice to save 600$ on a harness bar and buy a better seat.

@ATL BRZ

I think it differs from groups you want to run with. I'm not sure if NASA would allow it. But ATL BRZ has mentioned the groups he runs and instructs with have no problems with the set up he has. I've been contemplating this option as well. I've also been looking for a bolt on back half roll cage option, and get the seats and stuff. No dice...

They may or may not be legal depending on the club rules. I wouldn't personally run them since it doesn't look like they feature an Anti-Submarining (ASM) inner shoulder harness. The Profi II ASM FE belts from Schroth have the ASM harness which allow a slight torso twist to keep your body in the seat and out of the footwell in an impact. They mount specifically to a harness bar instead of the B pillar like the Rallye 3. The Profi II ASM are also approved for use with a HANS device, which is what many people forget to use with 4 point harnesses to save your neck from injury/paralysis/death.

NASA doesn't allow ANY 4 points period. PCA allows 4 points mounted to the factory belt mounts with a harness bar in non-Porsches with separate headrests. HOD and JTI don't have explicit rules about harnesses. As long as its deemed safe at tech inspection, at your own risk.

the rallye 3's are DOT approved and have the ASM piece. My other options are the PROFII with a 600$ harness bar. Which makes me cringe. I could buy a pipe bender and welder from harbor freight and make one for that price. Which honestly I might do since I cant believe I don't have those tools in my shop anymore.
