You can see the pattern much clearly here, meaning its a pretty good assumption that a carbon roof will be available from the factory at a certain trim level.
Is that water droplets on the CF roof?

I notice the red one did not have a CF roof. Plus we saw no CF roof in the training brochure...I think we are going to get some nice surprises in less than 8 days!

is it reflection of the blinds in the backgroud??

i doubt very much it has a CF roof. beside the colour is too white to be CF.

im assuming those are the mounting areas on the underside of the roof to bolt to a skeleton frame. So the roof wont tear off during a roll or fly off at high speeds with the windows rolled down.

the patterns are not the result of the reflection/shadows from the blinds. I made sure.

Carbon can be woven into any color in todays market, even a very white reflective pattern is possible in carbon.

still being in a studio who knows what they have up on the ceiling.

i just don't want to get all hyped up and then be disappointed....

besides, i want it to be cheap. having CF roof will certainly blow up the price.

edit: it also looks like the roof area is not as glossy as the pillars. maybe they have put some vinyl on the roof? or dry carbon???

Title of the video is Toyota FT-86 blah blah blah, it doesn't have "concept" word anywhere. I assume the car will be named FT-86, at least in Japan.
Edit: Toyota Europe also posted the same video. I think EUDM version of the car will also be called FT-86.

they have promoted the "FT-86" name for all these years and it's a waste to start again with another new name.
