An original car would rare to happen like that. It's sure something from car dealer technician error. He might forget not to tight bolt and nuts per technical specs and belt loose

I'm glad it had a positive outcome. The last time my belt snapped my trousers hit the ground and everyone was pointing and laughing... That, as it turns out, is not covered under warranty.
