Building a new kit takes time, there will be issues, and you need to get the tuning solid. Innovate could've come in here, threw up a dyno and started taking orders and leave people hanging, instead they've just been working on their kit. Remember innovate has 22 posts on their account, the other 1900 in this thread are all member post speculating, posting their excitement, getting mad, arguing etc. Its kind of funny seeing this thread blow up and people freaking out haha Just gotta sit back and :happy0180:

I personally don't see any lack of professionalism. I don't remember them ever giving a specified date where they'd have dyno information available. Better to wait for them to do it right than to release numbers no one is pleased with.

With that said, I am still looking forward to this. I would love a nice flat torque curve. This kit and the JDL twin-scroll kit are on the top of my list (I know, I know, two completely different ends of the spectrum). Sent from my Nexus 4

I don't think that phrase means what you think it means...
I see no unprofessionalism here, merely people getting their panties in a twist because Innovate is spending their time building this kit rather than posting on these forums....which is exactly what they should be doing. Its not like we don't know they are working on the kit, its obvious by Visconti's posts that they are working on the kit...and if they have brought in Visconti then it probably means they are in the final stages. I'm glad that Innovate is spending their time being productive rather than building up hype and posting false dynos...that is the mark of professionalism...and while yes it would be nice to have someone be like "hey guys, we haven't forgot about you" it is not absolutely necessary and they will post when the time comes. For now...just sit back and wait.

Ok, a couple points I'd like to make here.
1. The "clutter" in this thread is necessary. 2. Innovate could have handled this better. Hear me out. First point. To those upset about all the posts here, please imagine the thread you are asking for. A handful of Innovate and Visconti posts and s small smattering of posts from the members here. Sounds civil on the surface.. But how many posts is that? A page, maybe two? Innovate could very well look at a thread like that and say "Why are we putting all this time and money into developing and marketing this kit when there's so little interest?" They post a coupel things, a handful of people respond and that's it. They know only a fraction of those who post are going to buy, so that mean they'll sell one maybe two kits? Why bother? A short thread is a sign of disinterest, and Innovate could very well decide to scrap the whole thing. This thread is nearly 2000 posts long. There are only TWO other forced induction kits with more posts. And these three threads are the ONLY ones above 1K. No other kit has gained as much interest as these three. And only this one is a supercharger. That shows there's a reasonably high demand for a product like this, and I'm sure that helps convince Innovate that this is worth putting money into. Even the posts complaining about the lack of updates show interst in the product because, why else are they posting in this thread? If they really were uninterested, they'd spend their time elsewhere. Without the "clutter" in this thread, I don't think we very well might not have had this kit to look forward to. There are countless "cool new things" that get shown at SEMA or similar shows and never hit the aftermarket. Like this: ![]() 2. Like the above, too much cool stuff will get unveiled and then quietly disappear. It often frustrates me, and I'm sure it does to other enthusiasts as well. Unveiling a product and then going silent just looks like another vaporware release. Now, knowing that Visconti has his hands on one and is doing development on it is VERY encouraging. But there's still those concerns. What stage in development are we in? What will availability be like? etc. Nature abhors a vacuum, and people abhor an informational vacuum. People want to know about stuff that interests them (hence reality TV :P ) so leaving a lack of info will frustrate and anger people. And yes, Innovate has no requirements to keep us updated. But the thing is, it doesn't take much to keep the hordes placated. Just small responses and teasers are enough to let people know that they aren't left out in the dark. Visconti understands this and even his teasers, while frustrating in their own way, are better than nothing. If there was NOTHING from Innovate and Visconti before release, a lot of people would lose interest or just write off the whole deal out of frustration. People want to know that A: they are being heard even if they don't get an individual response, and B: that the time and emotional investment they put into something isn't going to be for nothing. Little acknowledgements of the people interested in their product would go a long way. That said, Innovate did screw up BIG time. NEVER pass up a deadline you set without any word. Even if it's to say "Sorry, we're not quite ready" it's better than staying silent. Blowing off a deadline sends a message that you don't care about the people who were anticipating whatever you promised. It sends a bad message and should be avoided at all costs. Never forget a promise. So, to sum up: the noise in this thread is essential to show there's a market for the product, and Innovate, while not obligated to, should manage this product's following better. |

Not a clue. Maybe another SPT product that never made it to market due to some decision based on some market research that said they wouldnt sell enough.
Not necessarily wrong though. If you look again you'll see that they would not work with a strut brace. And I believe that the type of person that would buy this would likely also buy a strut brace. But that's just me being an armchair market analyst. |

Anyone else starting to wonder if a problem has come up that Innovate hasn't expected? Hyping the release of their #'s and then going dead cold for days now on the forum... it seems very off. You would think they would attempt to keep everyone in the loop with such a highly demanded product. John has not commented either which makes things seem even more suspect since all he was doing was feeding the fire towards Innovate's release.
