Any word on e85?
I haven't heard anything from "Unichip Jack". Considering purchasing, but waiting out for e85 as I definitely want to try that. |

Anyone else have the injen intake map only? When i run the unichip on 0 everything seems fine, but on 1 (which I assume is the aggressive version, but have no way to know for sure) the car bogges down really bad when idling sometimes, or when I hit the throttle from 1st and 2nd there is a slight delay in throttle response. Also it seems I'm getting bad gas mileage from this map (24~25mpg). Looking at a graph of my Air fuel ratio the line is very jagged, and not smooth at all. Any thoughts or experience?

I have the Injen map + exhaust. I also found that the 0 map worked really well and the 1 map just seemed a bit boggy. I assumed that was because of the crap CA gas as the 1 is for 92 octance, and we only get bad 91. I'm going to try downloading the software and try the 0 map + more timing in increments to see if the best map is somewhere between the two.

I would give Jack a call if I were you. I have found him to be very helpful.

He actually already messaged me seconds after I posted, and said the same thing about the fuel. Also it could be the wrong map or bad map.

One of the reasons I went with Unichip was Jack's great customer service - let us know how it works out.

Each area has different gas, elevations, etc... You really should get a usb cable from him and try out which map works best. These are generic tunes but he has so many variations of each one that you should be able to find what works best for your car. |

If that's the case, then Map 0 would be the 87 Oct map and Map 1 is the 92 Oct map. And you cars run better on the Map 0 87 Oct map? Just trying to get a better understanding. |

that is correct. I just ordered a cable, so I'll get to the bottom of it soon enough. There was nothing in the packaging that confirmed what maps they put on, at least that i saw. Maybe that would be a good thing to include in the future?

That is correct, although I was told that my map 0 was for 89 octane.
I'm just using the maps that came with it, as I have not had time to set up the software/download stuff yet. Definetely planning on it though. |

blkwrxwag - looking forward to hear what map works best for you. I'm also in SoCal.
I have the Apexi drop-in filter, but my car seem to like the Stock maps better than the "All Drop-in Filter" maps. So far I like the 92 Oct Fuel Standard Timing Out Stock map. Going to try Fuel Out next. |

Sure, although it may be a few weeks before I get to it. Too many big autocross events this month in my other custom tuned car!
