That was my first thought as well. The button is a little too long and too slim to fit and look flush.

@tbwoodlee yea, a pic would be great. also how hard was it to remove the panels necessary to install the switch there? i'm pretty tempted to put it there, but i don't know what's involved. thanks.

this how i did mine. theres a pre hole/open area on this part when u remove it, u just have to make hole a little bigger. i tap it on key ignition key, so i can turn on the fogs anytime, even the parking or headlights are off.

Would've loved a DYI for that looks clean

Hey fellas, I am work, but I will post a pic when I get home.

The panel itself is super easy to remove, just two screws, one below the steering wheel to the right, and the other on left side behind a little panel that pops off.

Edit: Added pics of my set up and how to remove the panel. As you can see from the picture, the button is huge. I need to make the hole larger still so it can go in further and be flush with the panel.

So is there a panel you have to take off to get to the screw between the door and dash??

Yes, it just pops off though. Use a small flat head screw driver to get it started.

Waiting on my bezels and harness still. Got bored so I ordered a set of Lamin-X clear vinyl overlays for the Subie lights(since they're glass), and upgraded to H9 bulbs before I install them. I need lotsa light since these back roads of south Texas have all types of critters out and about...
