Thats what they did with the Forester and Legacy STI versions.

Forester STI and Legacy STI are JDM only, they even made NA Impreza STI in Japan while other markets didn't get it.

I'm keeping the faith and will be able to hopefully hold out till the second year. Any word from your friend on if they will be going through with the convertible since it was designed with it in mind from the the ground up?

Assuming your friend actually does knw what he's talking about then it works for me. I'll be very happy with my base brz and not have to upgrade to what I don't want anyways.

That "NA STI" was just a concept, never actually sold.

I still say there is possibility BRZ STI will be turbo or have higher output than the base.

they said at the show they just plan on improving down force and aero. no plans on boost. i dont think toyota would let them make it that much more powerful then theirs.
