It will undoubtedly kill almost anything new in the 20-40k range with it's power, lightweight, balanced, low CoG and rigid reinforced chassis.
It's obvious. TRD version leaked has wide kit in the front, STI will be the same. Look what the differeces between Impreza STI and regular one.

First of all the STI version if it ever comes out will be bad assed..but we are talking at least 2 years before that. Yeah 300 HP and 2700 pound weight will kill pretty much anything in the said price range. But how much will this car cost?

This concept is very cool. I like the muscular quaters and the stance. I have read thru all the info on the site but its difficult to tell what we know is confirmed from toyota/subaru. For the US we are getting the brz and frs launched in spring, and these cars will be the same except for badges, bumpers and trim. Is this correct? This car looks close to production ready as does the leaked TRD pictures. Hope there is some definative info at the TMS but I fear we in the US won't know all until the Detroit show.(Jan. isnt it?)

I swear they kidnapped the designer for the current GT-R. The fronts and rears look similar. I think the arch flares are fail, especially the rear.

Do you work for Subaru or something? Cause you speak as if you have direct first hand knowledge of what is coming.

Good luck getting a reply. He avoids "whats your source" type replies like the plague.

Ya, there has been ZERO indication by any source of an actual STI model coming out.

Time to raise the flag!

I don't know if this was posted but in the last minute of this press conference they mention a future 2.0 FB turbo for the wrx and another 300+hp engine for the the wrx sti. If the 2.0 FB engine in the next 12 months can get a turbo for the the wrx then it looks good for the future of the BRZ as well.

Those engines (or similar) are planned for the wrx and sti but that's not evidence that they'll be used in the brz anymore than the current engines in those cars which could have been used in the brz but were not.

If they can add turbo to FB, they also can add turbo to FA, but I think they want to cut the development cost by giving detuned the FB20 turbo to BRZ STI. There are way too many possibilities, FB turbo will be put in BRZ STI variant.

Not a bloody chance. The BRZ/FRS is a N/A platform with a brand spanking new engine. The future turbo FB16 is going into the new WRX.

Are you even talking about the FT86/AS1? The low volume selling coupe?
