hey if you have that much money to just throw away, be my guest.
If I had purchased the vortech SC just like that I would've been highly disappointed with the lack of torque which is all I care about.

The Horsepower curves are from the chart released by Bullet down under.

The Torque curves were extrapolated from the HP curves. [ HP = (TQ*RPM)/5252 ]

The written in numbers were derived by comparing the baseline numbers of Bullet's dyno to those expected from a car with 15% driveline loss to create a correction factor which was applied to the Bullet graph.

The "Feel the Power!" line was added by Visconti to the uncorrected and aproximated graph.

So we have a rough ide of what we will see. But there's still some very lage sources of error. First, there's only anecdotal evidence that the Bullet HP graph was done with the Stage 2 kit. It may have been done with the Stage 1 kit. Secondly, it is an early graph from a while ago. Development has continued, so we could see some significant differences. And lastly, this graph was generated on Aussie fuel, using a low-reading dyno, and then it was aprroximated, re-written, and a simplistic correction applied to it.

This is dead-reckoning in its entirety,so don't take it as gospel.

Its a centrifugal supercharger, the numbers from it are about what I would expect

I have a good idea of what to expect from this kit, I've tuned K-Series engines with twin screw superchargers and turbos using Hondata, as well as N/A setups.... I'm not going to "throw" my money away, but I have a good idea of what to expect and I think it will be what I need.

I don't think this kit will be as transformative as those turbo kits putting down 300-400 at the wheels. But, I do think this kit is the best choice to compliment what this car already IS. This kit should provide a solid bump in torque that's useable *everywhere*. A twin-screw will be the most responsive FI option and it should preserve the spirit of what this car was designed to be.

I have reasonable expectations, but high hopes for this kit.

At least some of us are paying attention. Thanks for the complete explanation.

Yeah, you can expect over 160 lbf, that is a realistic expectation. Guessing 185 lbf TQ is not THAT bad but I wouldn't expect the SC to hold TQ that high for that long (I might be wrong). So because of that, the 234 WHP IMHO is too high of a guess.

Would you buy it if it had 185 and 230?

I would buy at the numbers I said without investing in any other mods, below I would still but maybe with more mods. But then again I don't know how this car will feel at that power range since it's light, might be enough

I really wish people would stop cluttering up this thread with nonsense. Maybe I just need to realize there will never be any real update!

I went through all 86 pages and that's what 95% of this thread is, nonsense. Such as this post I'm making now and forgive me, but your post as well. I'll wait for the updates from the ones that matter and not bother with all the bs in between. And until the day comes when they release the pertinent information............................
