@2forme I have a question for ya... how does the mirroring look as far as edges go? I did the mhl on my GS3 to my 37" lcd tv in my room... and the edges are cut off a little. Do you have that problem?

I registered just to say thanks! I got linked here from your other threads on Android head units from a guy that just installed the Parrot Asteroid.

I've always wondered why they didn't have an 'Android Dumb Terminal' that I can simply plug my phone into & it mirrors just like this! HUGE NERD BONER!

All my phones are compatible with this as well! (2) Evo 4Gs & Galaxy Nexus. I'm about to buy one & get it installed. I had even bought the Ca-Fi knockoff already & was able to get that order cancelled. I think I would prefer the AR2 with any ROM I want on my phones. (Even larger nerd boner!)

THANKS!

I still can't commit to App radio 2. Maybe I should put it in my work car first. But can't decide on that either.

It's sitting in my Amazon cart now. Just waiting to see what else I would need. SWC, etc.

No SWC since you don't have steering wheel controls. You should just need the harness, antenna adapter, dash kit, microbypass and any cables to connect your phone to the headunit.

WHOA! You psychic or something? How do you know if I do/do not have SWC? As a matter of fact, I do have SWC in my Cadillac CTS-V.

I ultimately went back to the cafi knockoff. Now that it's rooted it's a better solution for my needs. But the app radio 2 is great for people who want android and a name brand.

I was planning on doing this after hearing about it a few months ago but now that I see it I think this is a much easier option then putting my Nexus 7 in the dash like I was planning haha.

I think I'm reading this right but it looks like an amazing deal on appradio 2 right now...

$120 MIR from an authorized dealer.

Bestbuy.com is an authorized dealer and has it on sale for 279.99.

UPDATE:

boo, no go from bestbuy but still a good deal.

I didn't see me asking any questions about my specific setup! I said I was waiting to see if I NEEDED SWC adapter (researching).

I registered specifically because 2forme's posts on Android units . . . being the Android fan boy I am. Of course, I order the AR2 & he's on a rooted Ca-Fi knockoff. I got some questions for you now 2forme (new post).
