I lived in St Louis for 26 years and have been living in Charlotte now for over 3 years. The weather here compared to St Louis is incredible. Summers aren't nearly as hot n humid & the winters not that cold. My last vehicle's A/C went out prior to moving...which completely sucked back home, but didn't bother me for the next 2.5 years here...maybe 2-3 weeks it was a bit annoying. Windows down & motorcycle weather most of the year. Winter you might see a little freezing rain and possibly at most an inch of snow, but not enough to get excited or nearly as much in STL. I remember in St Louis having clear skies 60+ degrees then in the same day, tornados followed by snow & 30 degrees. You're lucky to hit heat indexes of 100+ here, which I'm loving, and don't have to worry about tornados...don't even have tornado sirens here. A few months before moving, I lost a bunch of stuff to a tornado, glad to not see that crazy weather here I remember most of the summertime in STL being under tornado warnings, here it's Poor Air Quality, lol! It's so darn nice here, they have to make up silly warnings. Again, the weather is incredible.

You haven't been in Gastonia have you? I've seen a raven around here twice.

Several summers in Charlotte without AC in your car? You, sir, are insane! I can't stand these NC summers

I guess it's what you're accustomed to. Last weekend I was down in Destin, FL and it was the official start if spring break. Quite a few Canadians were walking the beach in t-shirts and shorts (it was upper 40's & low 50's) and the Florida folks were in coats and scarves, haha.

Doesn't really matter what I'm used to. If its humid and 90+ out my body starts sweating as soon as I go outside If I'm in a car and it's 75+ out and sunny some part of me is sweating (if the AC is off).

I can "deal" with the heat but I'll be dripping sweat

As a good point of reference in the winter time (right now) I keep my house at 64/62 (upstairs/downstairs) and am perfectly comfortable with that, lol.

Dang... I don't think I've been wrong with guessing a car type or make before as I did yesterday by Crabtree Valley Mall! I thought I was 1 car behind a WRB BRZ, but shockingly it turned out to be a Hyundai Genesis coupe... Oh well, just a harsh reality check I suppose! Silly me! Glad I didn't try to grab their attention with a wave or something :p

Well, I hope the day wraps up nicely for all you guys! Catch you around!

Does anyone know of any quality muffler / custom exhaust shops here in the triad or triangle region?...thinking about getting a custom welded axleback (not sure for muffler delete yet or not) and did not know if any locals did quality work.
