Thats my understanding as well.

Since some of you actually have cameras hooked up to this thing, is there any setting in the device to adjust for a backup camera being offset? I know the factory head units do this by default.

Had my gps in the glove box but now it works great since I relocated it to the roof by the oem mic.

Is it possible to overclock this unit maybe make for a faster boot up?

So, will this unit will have a micro-usb to standard usb hub hanging from the bottom-left hand corner of the unit?

Only if you want to use it. I use a USB hub off the port in the back, just stuff everything in the glove box.

is it possible to use a separate gps app like google navigation or similar without being connected to a data signal? id assume the gps antenna thats included would cover all that?

This unit seems to have all the features im looking for, i just want to ensure full functionality (minus web surfing obviously) without having to get a 3g or wifi connection

It comes with Sygic, which is an offline navi app. You're welcome to use others like Be-On-Road or NavFree, though.

Well, unfortunately the new head unit isn't a capacitive touch screen. I was able to operate it perfectly with a plastic screw driver. I'm going to send it back.

The one you just bought? Under the assumption that it was?

Sorry to hear that. Especially because of the increased price for that imaginary feature compared to the other listings.

I just order the Appradio 2 today based on your recommendation. I got it and the android adapter kit along with the metra wiring harness, dash kit and antenna adapter for $418. All from Amazon. My plan is to find a used compatible Android phone and leave it permanently in the glove box.

@2forme that sucks to hear it isn't capacitive, I just came in to ask if you'd received it yet.

Do you think its the same screen and just marked up / mislabelled or is it any better for responsiveness over your other ca-fi knock off?

Could they have sent your the wrong model by mistake? They do look identical.
