You're right, I did order a GTS, but, the two cars I mentioned were taken at gun point/knife point.

TMCA does NOT preference you when your order is placed, they allocate to Dealers and pick the orders out from that - my original order will have been amybe a week or two short of 12 months when it finally arrives here

Was down in WW over Christmas, the Dealer claimed to have 3 unsold 86's but to be honest I never saw ONE let alone 3

OK, more f*****g rain forecast for the weekend here, maybe 100-200mm so not sure if I will get out and have a run in mine, potholes etc you can't see when full of water and I know too well what can happen! Lexus IS200, water covered pothole, splayed front wheels and 4 x crease marks in the roof!! Got that fixed then sold it

Yours won't really be that long, time flies! Just stay here and enjoy the wait with a great bunch of people [excluding me!]

PS: 'f*****g' = flaming!!
ANNNNNNDDD There was movement in the station

Current status of your order: In Production

Latest Estimated Pick Up Date: 10/04/2013

The GTS won't start without the remote INSIDE the car, so I guess if that unfortunately happened, throw the flamin' thing to the sh*thouse!! Always get another and get the car towed!! Best thing, drive with it in your pocket!!

I haven't tried getting out of the car with the remote while the engine is running - suppose just do that, say 'go for it!' and hit the stop button and run like hell!!

Scary thought!!

It just beeps if you walk out of your car with the keys in your pocket and the car still running. Just walked to double check if the house was locked

Will go try that! Can't get it out for a drive, still raining, another 100mm + in the past 24 hours, huge potholes, rocks, water over roads and stuff like that - so still only done 60km in the past 15 days!!!

In for first service tomorrow, checked the road in this monring, massive potholes and stuff so I will have to be careful!!

Then I have to work out the voice recognition!! [whatever that is!!]

The voice recognition is horrible to be honest... don't bother with it! Only frustration awaits.

Will be watching the NEWS on 7 tonight, seems there could be a lot more coming!! Geez 855mm in 5 weeks is a bit too much to take!!

Roads here are potholed now, I have to take the 86 in for it's first service tomorrow, currently has 690km but I should get maybe another 50-60 on it before I dro it off at 7.30am in Caboolture. Not sure what they actually have to do, in NZ as 'SACS' said you pick it up new and it's 'see you in 9 months or 15,000km'

All good

A bit off topic here, zero we got delivered roughly same day and i have doubled you in kms. 100ks a day since delivery.

To all who are still waiting:
Dont get too protective of the car, i got hail damage within the first 3 days and now i enjoy the car more =] (ps. it will be fixed back to perfect soon)

Sorry to hear that, I'd have cried crocodile tears!! Just back from 'first' service, in at 717km [rain stopped me driving it because of the HUGE potholes, then left and cruised down to Brisbane to MX5 Plus to show the guys and now back home wiht 804km!! Won't get used again until next weekend - if it's fine and that's NOT a certainty!!

860mm of rain since 25 January!!

PS: Mine came on the 'Grand Mark' and they also had Suzuki's there that came on the same ship! Nice also of my Dealer to take the shipping details off the screen when it arrived and save it for me in the service folder!!

Picked mine up on Thursday and couldnt help but take the great ocean road home to Adelaide.

As for 'running in', I took it slow around town for the first couple hundred and then made sure I was varying the revs on the open road.... Lets just say that at times they varied quite dramatically.......... felt bad but felt so good!

Couldnt be more happy with the car, it is just perfect!

Nice one Crouchy!! enjoy the ride!!

I don't know if it's because of the guards but I swear when I look at mine along the side from the rear, the front wheels appear to have positive camber, yet look from front on - all good!

Also find with the manual, when taking it out of reverse, I hear a 'click', anyone else notice this?

First service today and the Sales Manager was telling me about a lady who picked her GTS MT Aero up last week, claimed something had to be wrong as it kept stalling on take off and was sluggish - she took it in, they couldn't find anything wrong so went for a drive with her - she'd been trying to take off in 3rd!!!

BTW - my spare that I sourced [17 x 7 with 42 offset] will fit in the wheel well and the FLAT rubber floormat fits great over it!! No need to go buy the 'donut' mat from when they first came out

Where I got it serviced today, they have found maybe 75% are asking about a spare wheel, so Goodyear North Lakes where I got mine is looking after them!! I paid $340 for a new 'Infinity' alloy and a 'Goodyear' multidirection tyre

That's good, I know what I'll be getting soon, thanks for the heads up!
Did you buy a bolt to lock down the spare?
