Could u post pics from that night? Idk I'm having trouble seeing a tree shape in that damage. Did it hit something else along the way or was it just a monster tree?

I'm glad the rumored story isn't the truth and that you were both okay. Was this a total?
If so, would you mind PM'ing me how much you settled for?
I was rear-ended (totaled) on Christmas Eve and I'm still haggling with insurance.

Did the police ticket the other driver?

Did the offending driver's insurance company pay for your damaged car?

The other driver lied to the police saying that my boyfriend speedover the speed limit or something

I assume so, I am waiting for the insurances to meet to determine the settlement. Still dealing with the insurance -_-

I'm having trouble seeing how this accident unfolded, irrespective of what he eventually hit. He hit it hard. He swerved to avoid a collision while in the middle of an intersection on city streets at city speeds ... and lost control (why?) and subsequently hit something off the road, and all at city-legal speeds?

If the car was spinning out of control, I would expect the car to have scrubbed off a lot of speed before flying off the road. Yet the car struck something with sufficient force to inflict the damage shown and total it. How?

I'd like to see pics, too.

It is possible that the story is true and accurate; I'm not denying that.

But, as it stands, the story fails to convince. More details coupled with elaboration would be helpful for readers trying to picture the dynamics of this violent crash.

Whatever happened, I hope you both make a full recovery, and learn from the experience.

So, there was no vehicle contact?

And the other driver stopped? He remained at the scene?
