Any additional information would be great!!!

I want to install the same Red LED in my FRS. Where did you purchase your material (e.g. Red LEDs ... etc)?

THANKS!!!!
Firstly, the old lighter plug I was referring to was a plug for an old car charger for a spotlight that I discarded. I just plugged into the receptacle behind the glove box, which I did remove while working down there. I made a wiring harness of sorts that splits to a shorter wire to the passenger side and a much longer wire for the driver side. I decided not to open the dash and tucked the wire from the passenger footwell all the way around the underside edge of the centre console to the driver side. I don't like taking stuff apart unnecessarily and in this case the dash was spared.

I used 12V flexible LED strips from an electronics supply. The strip can be cut every 3rd LED if needed and the light level is perfect. The strip stays on whenever you turn the key, uses minimal energy and never burns out. It has a 3M peel off adhesive backing. Placed the strip along lower edge of glove box door and on driver side just zip tied it under the dash.

Crappy picture, but this is on the to-do-list and I was/am bored so I rigged up this little demo/test rig.

I'm also not too keen on taking apart my car. I took the trunk area apart earlier for my 4th brake light, but I'm not touching the front. There is more than enough space to tuck the wires around the center console. So that's what I'll be doing.

I have plans for some where else down the road that will require me to take at least one side apart so we'll see.

Sorry for the crap pics. This was quick, simple, and did not require any kind of splicing or soldering to any wiring on the car. I simply tapped a fuse slot, then ran a cable under the head unit area.

BTW you can avoid splicing anything if you have an old lighter power plug you can sacrifice and splice.
Pulling out the stereo provides more than enough room, no need to pull everything apart. Sorry for the late reply!

Fuse tap under dash in driver side for power to switch or leds. Ground is any chassis bolt. No splicing or cutting stock wiring this way.

Sorry for the crappy pics, but this is really self explanatory. All of my wires, except the one through the center console, is wrapped with a sleeve just for looks. I also have connectors installed to make things easier to work with.

You can actually tap any of these fuses locations. The bolt to the bottom (10mm) is the ground bolt. In my setup, the wires that exit to the right go to a switch, then to the lights.
check here for how I did the switch - http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showt...ghlight=switch

Driver side
Disregard the fact that the later pictures are lit up. Everything is powered from the driver side. That panel pulls right off without much effort. Here, I ran the wire under my center console. It's by far the easiest method.

Passenger side
After you run the wire through, just attach it like you did the other side.

I want something like this, maybe a little dimmer, but I was wondering if there was a way to wire this so that they turn on anytime the headlights are on. This way they will be on anytime its dark out.. anyone have any input on this?

They are actually a little bit dimmer than the ones I had installed before. The difference is that the second set is waterproof. Check my previous post, particularly the last picture.
