I have a question for everyone who is using one of Nigel's harnesses. How did you wire it up?
1.There are both a black and red wire coming out of the relay. What did you wire these up to?
2. There is both a black and red wire coming from the on/off switch harness? What did you wire these up to?

Thanks

I'm waiting on mine to come from him. I assume from the relay, red goes to battery positive, black grounds to anything metal on the frame of the car. The switch should also be black to any ground and red i guess to any 12v source? Maybe the cigarette lighter or something? Is there another wire to connect to the side markers? Definitely need some clarification on this as well

Kinda expensive at a dollar a piece.
Is the J nut plastic or steel for this part??

It's metal if I'm not mistaken.

If that's the case, i'll just go to homedepot or autozone. I might try and use a license plate mounting kit because those usually have plastic bolts and the bumper is plastic. I have the bezels and lights as well and just put in an order for the harness from nigel. I plan on running it along the driver side and putting the button beside the trunk button. I also found that the fuse box under the dash already has FL Fog and FR Fog so i will probably tie into that. Anyone know if Nigel's harness already has fuses in the harness???

The red and black coming out of the relay are for the relay itself. The red needs to be hooked up to the battery with a fuse in between, and the black is the ground for the relay. Put this on another ground in the car(non-painted surface). The switch is the same, red goes to battery(with a fuse between it) and the black grounds wherever there is a good connection.

I was confused because others, along with the DIY video, were saying you need to tap into the side marker for the fog lights to work.

Nigel's harness comes with a fuse included on the harness off the red wire from the relay but there is no fuse on the red wire from the switch.

yes there is no fuse from the switch. i tap the red wire from the switch to my ignition key to make the switch work, so i can turn it on the fogs anytime i want without turning my headlights on. some they tap it on parking lights. its a personal preference.

so the red wire from the switch could just go to the side marker and if needed add some extra wire to make it long enough to go in through the firewall to wherever you want the switch?
