Maybe they should,, at least look at the car before they pass judgement?

Compared to every other car that has been in this segment, which is only a few in the last 20 years. It's as powerful as a 7th gen Celica with a power peak almost 1000RPM lower, as luxurious as a BMW 318ti, and lighter than a S14/240sx coupe.

We don't know if it will be as much fun or as affordable as a MX-5 but we shall see.

hoo crap panties...
Giccin, why does this thread has panties in it? >.>

Only for this car. Everything else isn't necessary. O_O!

Be blown away!

I love the idea of this car. Light weight, decent stock power, low CoG and sexy lines with decent mpg to boot. Plus its a 2+2 so the little ones can come along on a sunday run down the coast. I am lucky in the respect that I get to drive Hwy 1 for my daily drive, so its a winding road with switch backs just to make a run to the market. If this car drives half as good as it looks and sounds then it will be the car for me.

That car is ugly as hell and it's not affordable compared to the FR-S.

+1 Ugly as hell. I call it "Saggy Kitty". On top of that, it has typically awful BMW tramlining, plus that horrible N54 engine that is confused whether it's n/a or turbo feeling. I wouldn't pay anything for that dumb car, let alone a hardly "affordable" $40k. It's quadruple-fail in my book.

Many here don't understand that concept. And yes, it should be fun to drive at saner street speeds and still be a blast on the track if Subaru pulls it off

I have a few car friends not interested in it but they either have very specific requirements or more than enough cars already. One friend is just against all new cars (as I usually am too as many new cars have lost so much communication with the driver) and doesn't have any faith in Subaru (or if you want, Toyota) to pull this off.. I'm hesitate because before I read up on the car more I shared those feelings.
