Not true. When I was... discussing with them on why I didn't want a Scion and wanted the Toyota version (see the thread in my sig, has all the stuff I wanted and handed to Toyota, but that's another story.) That was one of their arguments that Scion was better, their "pure pricing", I fired back with a general comment about not giving a damn about "pure pricing". I was walking in asking to spend MORE money. *mutters at the stupidity of it all* Anywho, not with Toyota anymore and selling off the Celica come spring. Done with them after almost a decade of no Toyota sports cars. (again, another story and I'm ranting.)

TL/DR - Canada has pure pricing with Scion.

Like everyone else said. There is no standalone Scion dealer like how Lexus is in most cases. Closes thing i've seen was Longo, which had all 3 brands in the same area except Lexus in a seperate building. The Scion section was connected to Toyota but looked like it had it's own "dealership"

That looks like DV North Toyota/Scion.

Yeah, and the only variations in the FR-S models is that some have block heaters and hood deflectors as a couple of the very few dealer options available.

Been checking here also, no negotiation on price at all. Then I drove the BRZ and actually like it better. Not sure yet if they will negotiate or not.

I understand that this is NOT a good place to sample data like that but I am just surprised at the complaints.

Here in Canada, Scion is mated with Toyota dealerships so we don't have standalone Scion dealerships like you do in the US. So the same guy that our family has been buying Toyotas from (4 Corollas in 7 years!) will also be the same guy selling us a FRS (if I pull the trigger) - same applies for the dealership mechanics and parts department. The reason for this is that our Lexus dealerships were always mated with Toyota dealerships but when Toyota Canada finally hit the critical mass for Lexus customer base, they split Lexus off on their own and pushed in the Scion dealerships in their spot.

Is the Scion "experience" in the US that much different than in Canada? In Canada, it is essentially buying a Toyota with a funny looking badge. It isn't really that special.

MODS: The reason I posted this here under general Scion thread is because I would like more input from the US based Scion customers than in Canada.
Markville Toyota Scion has to be one of the best dealers in the gta, my family has bought 3 cars and had lots of service done on them, its a very friendly place service is always quick and done right

Too late, I'm done and out. Through with the false promises. Supposedly it's a hybrid anyway, makes the decision even easier.
