If you are a beginner I can ride along and also instruct on the basics. My service is obviously free of charge . =)

99% of experienced guys at the track would never charge you for instruction. They would be happy to help.

^This. Usually a good community. Most guys would be happy ride along and show you the racing line (read: their line) and the basics, which for a beginner will get 90% there. You will then spend the next few years of your life trying to get that last 10% .

Guys, I'm trying really hard to make this track day, but these weekend ones are killing me.

nope....... my "services" are free.....I can ride with you as an instructor (if you don't have one)....OR I can drive your car in your group, if you want....or I can take you for a ride in my FRS in my group (advanced).....

We have lots of options.........

in my experience......having an instructor that encourages you to brake harder-later, take corners faster than you ever thought possible really is fun

Great info, thanks! I'll take all of the above hehe. Brake hard at the last few feet of the berm and lean, at least that's how I learned it on bikes. I've got pads coming unavailable for the FR-S but the material is a winner for the cars it's available for.

Unfortunately, I can't find a way to uncoach my boys on the last game of our season. Any Sat after that, cool. Except BW, almost would rather tow than to drive it down there.

I hope other FR-S drivers take this opportunity. It's a great way to learn!

UPDATE......I managed to have a friend haul some tires for me....so I can bring the FR-S....vs my truck... :>)

So my FR-S will be there....... my plan is to test my racer in the morning and "if" the results are good then I will drive my FR-S in the afternoon...which means I can have a "passenger" the whole time :>)

Added bonus.......my friends son will be driving HIS race car in Solo (or the other solo+..) So it is "possible" I can drive his car while a few FR-S in Solo follow us....keep in mind I have radios.... So I can give one to an FR-S following....or anyone else with a common radio setup (mine are Midland 1050)

Where you there? I was in the reserved parking. Icemang took a ride in my car. I saw a bunch of integras together and met the organizer of their time attack thing.

another successful trackday.......well for the FRS-BRZ that were there....since I had issues in my racer.....

Got to ride with sw20kosh in his FRS.....IMPRESSED....all of his mods work and make perfect sense.....the tires (Hankook RS3's) have MUCH more grip than my stock setup....there were corners where his car STUCK and I would have been silly sideways......He also put down a VERY quick lap time.....for a novice driver Kevin can straight drive..... We were chasing a black BRZ for most of the session and both cars had passengers so it was a quite even match...lots of fun!!!!

I made a short video from my racer.....including a SPIN...which I RARELY do...

Great day indeed! Weather couldn't have been better. Seriously. Lots of cars though. This event was packed!

Thanks for jumping in and guiding me a bit. I'll try to be nicer to my front tires lol. Great meeting you in person and I hope that wont be the last time I ride with you out there. :happy0180:
I met the owner of the Dark grey BRZ we were driving with. He is really cool! He wasn't experiencing brake fad due to his race pads. LOL. I drove with him once in a later session. He's good.

Here is my post in the HPDE section with a video of one of my laps.

Was parked past the reserved parking with the s2000s. Slept 2 hours so was SUPER tired so didn't make it over to ask for a ride. I wanted to get over there early for a ride along but everytime solo came in point-by was going out. Need to get more sleep next time, haha.

Your car is the one with the different rear bumper? Was looking good!
