It's all about convenience and 'soul', much like Manual vs Auto. Waxing has soul
True. I enjoy waxing my car as its a labor of love.

Despite my young age, I'm old inside, haha. I prefer tradition and doing things by hand. However, I'll admit, opti-coat has me intrigued and there are moments I consider it, but as someone else pointed out, I can't get away from the "soul" of waxing.

I'm a wash and wax person myself. Although by the time I was finished with my first full wash, clay bar, and wax on a black car I was done for that week lol. Plus it was a COLD 45 degrees even in the garage. I've always been partial to turtle wax because of my dad and it hasn't failed me yet. Although now I'm starting to get more into using buffers and polishing compounds...

In summary, there's nothing better than spending quality time making your car look beautiful.

I totally agree. Although my wifes van will be getting OC'd this spring, I love playing with stuff. Currently my Passat is sporting Werkstat AJT, OC, Victoria Wax Hybrid Wax and a wax I am testing for my own line. They are all on different panels, not layered! LOL

I wax my Wife's' car, at least till summer when it gets the same OC treatment the BRZ did.

I do still wax both of my trucks. No plans to OC them. Though it's tempting on the MegaCab, damn thing takes an entire weekend to do properly.

I'm using Adams on ours. Call me old fashioned (not old) but I'm still apprehensive about the Opticoat being semi perm.

I would wash and wax my car, but my current living situation doesn't allow it to happen. I'd rather have something that I can deal with in this apartment complex when I have so little time.

After wash and proper drying technique by slapping the car with a shamwow and then driving the car full speed, I use a cleaner wax -Meguiar's, and buff the car clean with microfiber towels. If the weather is going to be really good, the next day I'll wash it again and repeat drying technique; and then I put on a layer of carnauba wax with pure polish oils -Meguiar's Gold Class.

I wax my car religiously. DGM with 12,000 miles and still looking awesome. I use a polish wax with my orbital after a meticulous wash to keep up the overall condition here and there, but usually (during summer) it's a wash + quick one-touch detailer.

I only wash my car about 1-2 times a month and wax it about every 3-5 months. Same way i took care of my Celica. FR-S now has almost 13,000 miles on her, and still looks amazing. Of course i do have the couple little nick's from rocks and stuff though.
