Probably has to do with people's subconscious fear of reprisal. The dollar value to repair those cars makes it far more punishable in those people's twisted heads. Then, there are the true reprobates, who specifically go after the super expensive cars.

Well it was an unprovoked attack after all but it's all said and done, we did plenty of damage in return.

I can never understand certain american's mentality to this day that we should get revenge for Pearl Harbor. It was a military installation whereas we dropped, you know, two atomic bombs on cities filled with millions of civilians.

Insurance Adjuster called me the other day to see how I liked the car.

Told her that I plan on taking it back in. The more I look at it, especially from the rear, it's much easier to see that the paint on the passenger side doesn't match the original color.

Not only that, I've noticed imperfections in the paint that look like lint particles that got caught in the paint while drying, which isn't pleasing to me at all. Needless to say, I'll be taking it back with the Toyota Paint Codes and hoping that they purchase OEM paint to re-do the job.

Well, not that it's impossible to do a good job, but the paint isn't guaranteed to be perfect. The conditions of a car being painted in the factory compared to it being painted in a shop may not be identical.

On the first week of my driving my BRZ, I parked mine behind my apartment at night, which is in downtown near some dive bars, woke up and (somehow) someone had put a dent right on the hood. Poor BRZ, I'm getting ABRA auto body to buff it out.

Had the car for about four weeks. Took it back. I was hoping what you said would happen, but as it progressed, it just became more and more noticeable.

Took it to a mechanic friend and asked his opinion too, and he said he felt like the color was close but not quite right, and after looking at it in the light, we could definitely see where their paint stopped and the original started.

The color they used was definitely close (and I actually liked it, almost like a pearl hot lava...but it wasn't on the whole car :/ ), but when I actually pointed out to the body shop, They saw it just as clear as I did.

Good. That's usually the case, as long as you used a facility that is one of their approved/certified sites.

I have caught two episodes of vandalism on my cars. One was a boot to my FRS tail light the shattered it. It was the 15 year old kid across the street. I did nothing because I felt bad for him, his parents were drug addicts and were brought to jail the next week and he was taken into foster care. I never even said a word. I disagreed with his idiocy but understood his rage.

The second was about 10 years ago. Some drunk asshole jock deuchebag thought he was showing off down a back alley and kicked in the door of my m3. After being extremely unapologetic Someone else I don't know broke his face with their shoe and he paid for damages several times over. Financially and from his parents never letting him leave the house.

Class act, man. Kudos on keeping composure and seeing the big picture.

Someone through a f'n orange at my car, it was splattered all over the drivers rear wheel! Don't you wish you could catch them in the act. I wanted to kill someone. Thankfully, they missed the car.
