BRZ Bluetooth Music Connection Issues

Not sure if anyone else is experiencing this (checked out all of the stickies for issues on top). When I turn on the car, my car automatically connects to my phone, which it is supposed to do. However, when I start playing music off my phone, it struggles to play music. It seems to go on and off for a good while until the bluetooth connection finally just disconnects by itself. Once I reconnect, my music plays fine like nothing ever happened. This only happens when I turn on the car and only with the bluetooth music feature (calling and talking through bluetooth is fine). Anyone else experienced this?

Best bet: Make sure your phone is updated to the latest OS. Delete all the bluetooth profiles from the car and phone. Re-Pair the phone and the head unit.

Mine does not play at all... I think I got Pandora to attempt to play once and all I got was extremely loud popping.

I have the same issues, stuttering audio from my HTC One S phone and audio unit in the BRZ. The issue is usually fixed by toggling bluetooth on and off.

It's a bluetooth software issue on the phone, hopefully will get fixed in an update.

I had the exact same issue. I solved it by selling my HTC Evo 4G LTE and buying a Samsung Galaxy 3. Now bluetooth works fine and even reads my texts to me, which it didn't before!

That is exactly the phone I have (EVO 4G LTE). I may have to do the same

No issues with connectivity using iphone 5. The only thing that is flaky is the display of the album/artist/title. Sometimes it just shows blank, but the music still plays fine and the on screen controls still work.

Here is my fix... Resync the phone and do not sync contacts or messaging.. I think this extra handshake between the phone and HU cause the stutters if the BT signal isnt maxed out.. Give it a shot!

Only issue I have is sometimes when I stop off at a store or something while music is playing, then get back into the car, I'll see I'm reconnected, and the song is playing, but the volume on the phone itself gets muted. All I have to do is go into the app and turn it back up, but it confused me the first few times it happened.

Had a Motorola Atrix 2 that had the issues. I upgraded my phone to Samsung Note II and everything works beautifully. Now have to see if I can get the text message thing to work.
