Dear FBM,

I'm getting closer to pulling the trigger... (April). Couple quick questions...

Fuel pump
- Are the necessary modifications documented?
- Can I order a fuel pump from another supplier that's plug and play and get that removed from the kit price?

EcuTek
- Can I swap between tunes on the fly? i.e. between a 91 and 93 octane tune would be perfect (I had this on my BMW 335i)
- Do you have 91/93 tunes for automatics?

Exhaust
I currently have a Nameless Axle-Back, and would like to upgrade to a FULL 2.5" exhaust while keeping this muffler. I'm fine with it being loud... this is a weekend car after all! Do you have any suggestions?

Documentation
Any further updates to this? Expected completion date? I can't place my order until this is complete.

I apologize if these have already been answered.

I meant to post this on the 'base' kit, not the 'premium' kit.

Yes, the pump we have is currently the shortest on the market as far as I know. We cannot separate the kits sorry.

EcuTek

we have 91 and 93 for automatics at this point, switchable maps will be available soon

2.5" exhaust will work fine

I have these and can email it to you later

We are constantly trying to improve our quality and efficiency for our customers. So, we will be including one of these usb sticks with every kit to ensure that every customer has an install guide and basemap easily accessible.

These will be available in a week and a half. For anyone who has already purchased our turbo kit, we will be sending these out to you as well.

On top of that, we will also include a dyno charts of our tunes on the different types of gas.

What exhaust [after the included downpipe, no cat] would you guys [Fullblown] recommend to compliment your stage one premium turbo kit?

EDIT: Also, are you guys planning on doing an e85 flex package for the kit?

So even though the 2.5 inch exhaust would give the turbos more back pressure to spool up quicker the 3 inch would still be the smarter choice?

Edit: is there going to be an option in the future to have an e85 flex fuel kit included with the premium turbo kit? along with the tuning for 91, 93, and you e 85 all automatically switched?

Let's clear up a myth: there is no circumstance that back pressure is a good thing for an internal combustion motor. None at all. In a turbocharged application, back pressure after the turbocharger will cause to it spool -slower- since the turbocharger has to work harder to spin. Back pressure is the restriction of exhaust gasses from leaving the pipes, it makes the system less efficient, not more.

Some people mistake scavenging effects with back pressure. When exhaust pulses are timed in such a way that the waves that bounce back help 'scoop' out the exhaust gasses leaving the ports such that it helps in efficiency.

tl;dr: back pressure bad, always.

Bigger exhaust help turbos spool, not smaller. You never want back pressure on a turbo application.
