new small problem with window motor

I cant control my passenger window at all and the automatic function wont work. When i do the second click all the way down, it will go as long as i hold it but that is supposed to happen when i push it to the first click. Sorry, dont really have a better way of explaining it. Called the dealership and they couldn't schedule me in for a week.. just wanted to post and see if anybody maybe had this problem and it was an easy fix or just something stupid?

thanks

Several things:
1) Is this happening all the time, or just when it's a cold start up?
2) Are the lights of your window control buttons flashing?
3) have you tried this? (3rd post down) http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=19731

Awesome! I'm so glad it worked for you. Just fyi -- I had the same issue and I asked a subaru service center about it on a visit for them to check my tail lights (I had condensation). They took my door apart and rewired everything and told me they had no idea what caused it. He proceeded to explain that these are new cars and that nobody has brought any in. I mentioned to him that most people do their first oil changes early, he immediately shot at me "people on forums say a lot of silly things, I don't listen to them." Now I cringe at the fact that I risked letting them damage my door before just looking it up here.

At least a forum is a "forum" of people, mostly enthusiasts. Collective brains can be a good thing. We certainly have our idiots, but 99% of the time you can find good, correct info. I've heard some pretty dumb sh*t from the random dealership employees/mechanics as well as some forum members, but at least we have multiple opinions to debate from instead of a single mind to make a decision. I've come to trust the forum members (in general) because we have some incredibly smart and intuitive people contributing here.

My RSX has on several occasions over the years reprogrammed itself to deactivate the auto-down/up feature. I'm fairly certain it wasn't me, but it is possible I deprogrammed it by mistake by hitting the buttons a few times in the process of raising or lowering them.

Mine has done the same thing, virtually everytime it's been 25 degrees overnight. So annoying.
