All of the specs so far are pretty close to what I'm interested in, the only thing I'm worried about is the interior of the Subaru. They are generally quite bland and unexciting, which concerns me a bit, but I guess I'll have a better idea about that in about 24 days

This is going to sound really weird, but the one thing that may be a deal breaker at this point is going to be how the wind enters the car when the windows are rolled down.
I used to own an RX8 R3 and when you roll the windows down I would get an unbearable blast of wind directly into my ear. I tried just settling for keeping the windows up and AC on but you could really tell a huge power difference when the AC was running in that car, and I'll bet that the same will be true for the 200HP FRS. It seems like it would be a super minor issue for most, but it actually completly ruined that car for me. I just couldn’t enjoy driving the car during the summer with the windows rolled up, the AC blasting, and being down on power. So lesson learned; this is something that I need to evaluate whenever I test drive any car in the future. When I test drive the Scion FRS it’s going to be with windows rolled DOWN. If the wind is obnoxiously funneled directly into the side of my head like it was with my Mazda RX8, then I won’t be purchasing this car. |

Base price between $20-23k. Thats all, the rest I don't care, everything I've seen so far is all good.

For the Subaru STi:
<$27k Little More than or equal to 200hp <2800lbs Simple and Fun NO CD PLAYER! (they said standard mp3 plug-in) Close to concept (when i see it at LAAS) For the FRS its about the same except for the price of <$25

You don't want a CD player? Or you want an mp3 input? Sometimes you can have both, you know.

I really don't see why they would put a cd player in this car. I mean who still uses cds and what can a cd do that a mp3 player can't? It adds weight and increases the production cost too.

![]() If you read previous interviews, they mentioned that they would go as far as not installing a cd player as a standard feature because they figured everyone would have ipods/mp3s by now. Plus, why would i bother having both cd/mp3 input if i was only going to use one?
