:Le Sigh:
Does he put his phone on the seat? That causes the belt alarm to go off. If not, then which brand seat covers did he put?

Can I ask what's holding you back? I've been distance running for years now so maybe I could offer a little brick wall advice

I watched 'Are You Faster Than A Redneck' for the first time last night. I was really surprised because i figured it would be just drag racing. I was pleasantly surprised to see they were doing 3-lap heats on a road course. The muscle cars were gorgeous, but the banter was painful. I think the show would be best watched muted, there is just so much random trash talk that doesn't even seem entirely sincere. I dunno, the show was pretty painful except for the racing itself. I'd watch it again.

For some reason after I hit 5 miles my legs are telling me no. NO MORE. Lol I probably think wayy too much when I'm running and not really enjoying the run. Plus my sides start hurting (I think it has to do with not doing enough breathing exercises during the warm up run) and I start getting shin splints (which I believe is either because of my shoes which I find aren't that unlikely and because I don't do calf raises against something to get them warmed up).

That and I don't know what to do to distract myself from thinking about how I'm running or how my breathing is and how tired I'll get. I was more of a sprinter than a long runner. :/ Basketball, softball, track and occasional 2 hand touch football. I also did cross country but I could never EVER get as far as the people doing 13 mile runs (excluding warm up and cool down) in a day within an hour. :/

Iono. I got the sprinter thighs. Lol But any help I would love. :happy0180:

Only 5 miles? I can't even do 1. I failed the c25k program because I can't get past week 2, haha

I'm more focused on lifting weights then cardio though, when I do run, I either do high intensity intervals or low intensity steady state

I also really like doing high intensity work outs. Low intensity is strictly for my legs and 70% into my arms (most of my arm work outs are generally from lifting the 45lbs plates onto a squat bar).

But I want to start building some endurance so when I get into mudruns I won't be so damn tired going up a hill or have trouble keeping a pace.
