After getting off work , some of my co-workers wanted to get some tea on my way to the destination an older man in a nissan maxiam looked over at my car , checked out my stocked rims and looked at the car for a bit , then looked me in the eye and mouthed out the word "great car" he then later gave me a tumbs up and smiled. that made my day !

So honestly, I love my car but when I bought it even after reading this thread I never expected that people would really double take and even gush in person about it but I just had, back to back, two people at the Shoppette on the military base I work at do just that.

First guy wandered over and was just swooning and asking me various questions and even asked if I thought he could trade in his relatively new xB for one, to which I said might as well ask/check with the local Scion dealership.

Just finished talking to him, about to close my door and head out and another guy stops me and asks how much the car cost and how I like it.

It's such an unexpected ego boost! It's also interesting to see how people really think the car is a 35k+ machine based on the looks/sports car angle and they sort of just blink at you when you tell them it's sub 30k.

Made my night again - honestly never expected that kind of public reaction

The people at work swore it was $80k. They thought it was a Maserati

I have people telling me that my car has AWD. That they heard from somebody on the internet the reason why BRZ is more expensive than the FRS is because of the AWD. lol! haha

I rebadged as well and have been asked on three separate occasions if it was "that new supra". Instead of trying going through the whole "Well this is a Scion but I don't like Scion as a brand...." tirade again I'm just gonna go with "Yes" from here forward.

Yep, its ridiculous. I've had the awd conversations, along with the turbo and "v6" conversations.

I got that at a Home Depot once. It felt awesome, then it got even better since I knew it was not just an FR-S, but my FR-S.

i was driving home from a friends house heading east bound on hwy 4 at 66 mph totally chill. and some asshole paces me in a 22re toyota pickup with a camper shell and revs and blips the throttle a million times...actually kinda creeped me out because he looked hella dirty and like he was the kind of guy looking for a fight. so i just set the cruise control and watched him accel and wait for me to race him....he gave me the worst look of "im gonna kill you" then sped off....im way too old to be doing that immature shit. what a child. but yeah that was a reaction i got last night....

I think the funniest and coolest thing that has happened to me since I got my FRS, was when a homeless guy at a red light asked me if it was the new scion FRS. I was like... Why yes, yes it is. Then he proceeded to compliment it. I was very surprised that he knew about it.
