They are Klutch rims. Klutch Republic is the website. Got a much better deal for them through B2autodesigns. Saw them on a red BRZ and fell in love. Picture does not do them justice. (shitty photographer (me))

Ah.. xdrive. Totally forgot about that.. but still.. with that kind of money, I can buy a FRS and a BRZ and choose the one to drive on any given day.

Thanks for the info.

I got my TSW 18" wheels and Falken tire combo on Sat from the 'Burg too. 6% duty on the tires from Thailand Still waaay cheaper than local - sorry local economy, but you can stop screwing people anytime now....

Adding lots of fiber (carbon that is) to my FR-S' diet JDP Front Lip, westcoastprojects rear trunk lip, Rexspeed Side and Rear skirts and APR brake ducts for the fog light holes (thanks www.GenomeTuning.com for these last 3)

Congrats Ken. Can't wait to see it. What finish for the rims did you decide on and what size of tire?

TSW Interlagos 18x8 +45 silver machine face and Falken ZE512 225/40-18
They look a little streched but I plan on dumping it on the D2's once in a while so the offset and stretched look will give less chance of rub.

Would any one want a set of gently used, 17x7 +38 5x100/5x114.3 Enkei J10's with 205/45-17 Yokohama AVID ENVIgor a/s with 6,000km on them?
Off my Corolla - I'll post them up in Classifieds here this week too with photos - they gotta go!!

Cheers,
Ken

Tirerack comparison

Hankook 225-40-18's

To Ottawa

$137 UPS
$30 brokerage fee
$85 HST
$23.65 tire tax
$36 Duty

To Ogdensburg

$52 UPS
0 Brokerage fee
$79 tax
Not sure about tire tax
I believe the tax is the duty as it was with my rims.

Off to Ogdensberg again. What a crock!!!!!!

and another thing. C'MON Spring!!!!!

If the tires are not made in Nafta Zone - then you'll get hit with 6% duty, then HST
Did you look at DiscountTireDirect - they usually have free shipping to lower-48.

What about the $5/tire fee at UPS? I assume that's where you have them shipped?

If you got the sent to Latham Tire (http://www.lathamauto.com/) in Oggy they might not charge anything to hold them - they are a TireRack & DTD approved installer - I had my Yokohamas for my old Corolla sent there last May - drove down on old tires on good rims, had the new Yokos mounted on the rims and continued to Carlisle You have to watch that though and be honest at the border - they'll ask if you had anything work or repairs done to your car coming back across.

Discount tire was a little more expensive overall. All in I am still saving about $70 bucks from having themn shipped here.

Ventus V12 EVO K110's 225 -40-18. Picked them up today in Ogdensburg. $784 all in. Tires, shipping, UPS pickup fee, gas, border tariff and duties. Barely fit in car.

This size will definitely stretch on the 8.5 rims. They are considerably wider than the OEM and much more aggressive looking. Very pleased.

Cool. I am looking into the RS3's at the moment and trying to find the best price.

I have discussed and received approval from my CFO for some "asset requests".
