I just did mine, i will clean, and buy the badges tomorrow. (it started raining)
the quickest way is to use a zip tie and attack the points inside the circle, this has less tape on them.

I couldn't get the front badge off of my car without the pins breaking, seemed like they were snapped in or something. Has anyone else had this issue or is it just me?

this is stated above, there is no way remove it without them breaking, aside from removing the bumper.

I'll try and gather information for the questions above.

i snapped mine front too, but i think it could be avoided if you were careful enough.

I think toyota can save a lot of money by not Drilling holes, and making the pegs part of the construction. And just use 3m tape to secure the badges on cars.

I also snapped pegs on the front emblem. A word to the wise, make sure you have plenty of heat on the glue. I used fishing line and a blow dryer but i didn't keep enough heat on it and the 3m tape took off a tine bit of paint. My car is Asphalt so it is hardly noticeable. I picked up some touch up paint from the local Subie stealership.

Has anyone made alternative badges for the front? Wanting to do something different than a Yota or Lex badge. Know if there's such a thing as a circular 86 badge? Envision the Toyota ring with an 86 inside instead of a "T" or scion star.

Figured I'd sketch it out so yall know what I mean. Dunno if anyone has made these yet, or if someone know how/where to get these made. I'm sure I could get one of my machinist friends mock one up, but I really don't wanna have to draw it all up in autocad... Lol

If you have access to a steamer it works great and won't damage the paint, that's what I used to do mine.

lots of great info here. i used a heat gun and 12lb fishing line to debadge my car this weekend. the frs and rear scion logo was pretty straight forward and easy. the front, took more time and the heat gun really came in handy. after heating and 'sawing' the front logo, i was able to lift one side of the scion badge and gently break away the pegs.

bug and tar remover did a great job breaking down the adhesive and took only a few repeats for the front. really happy with the new T badges and missing frs.
