I'm still waiting to see an episode of the BRZ/FR-S on National Geographic Megafactories. I wonder where I can request it.

Went to rent a car for the weekend and everything was sold out. The second nearest rental place was closed and there's no other place within an hours drive so I had to cancel my weekend plans.
I was going to test drive some cars over in Clarksville. Now that it knows it's being replaced, my normally reliable vehicle, being my mom's SUV, is sitting in the parking lot with a brand new but dead battery and perfectly good alternator. I had to push the POS about 10 meters downhill into a parking spot when it was 10 meters from home. It stopped right over a speed bump to add insult to injury. Now I've got to find a way to charge the battery before it's further damaged and figure out why it's not charging faster than it's discharging. |

No but really if you put that in your bank account you could make money on your money. Nothing wrong with that. (At this point, from interest on a $10,000 CD I had in the bank 4 years ago I have $10,600...that extra $600 is burning a hole in my pocket lol.

It's basically impossible to find a bank that'll give you the inflation rate...my rate for a while was 4.96% which was dope. You could also look at it in the way that I was basically "forced" to save that money for later.

Agreed! I haven't found a rate over inflation anywhere. Not that I have any money to invest, but I like to know what's going on and how the market is doing as everything is effected by it. |

Because (from what I understand) CD's are basically a bank's way to make sure you don't withdraw your money all at once. In return you get a pretty sweet interest rate.

Random thought for today... I love Lego. Yeah, it was great when I was a kid, I spent years of my childhood immersed in Lego. But whoever is running the show over there has their head screwed on tight because after decades the product is still the same but they've added in all the right places. I just put together a fire truck and this stuff is leaps and bounds better then when I was a kid. My kids have other fire trucks that, for the same money, are no where near as detailed and don't come apart. The books are the real shining star of their additions, though. They actually have leveled books which is incredible on it own. But my wife, with degrees in child & youth studies, physiology, and a masters in education uses the higher level books in her classroom. I don't normally wave a flag for a brand, but these guys are doing everything right. Oh, and thanks again @Giccin, I'm felling much better tonight. |

Remember when we all called the FT86, the AS1? Only to later realize that that was a Subaru Concept/Pre-Production Chassis Code, and that it wasn't actually the production chassis code... That caused a fair amount of confusion.
