Go check with 'SuperCheap', they have hail covers for around $230 or so, I have one for the MX5 that lives outside, had it a couple of years back when I had four cars, now down to three! You can get it over and attached in 2-3 mins and I weight it down with a couple of tyres - maybe a little big for the MX5 but it does the job, lucky only had light stuff here in that time BUT, 2007 they were tennis ball size!

Not sure what your area is like but I have a lady round the corner, if it looks real bad then she comes around and says 'bring the car round and put it in my garage!!' I can squeeze three under cover with just the tip of the boot hanging out so long as one MX5 goes right to the back wall and I remove a few things to allow that
That's good, I've been in some cars (modified) that were so stiff, it felt like I had dislocated most of my limbs!

I've been to Supercheap so many times, and I've never seen one, but, now I'll definitely be searching for one now!!

That's nice of her, but sadly, my neighbours aren't like that.

Now that looks like fun!
The closest road like that to me, is the McDonalds drive thru

ROFLMAO!

I live in fear of carparks and drive throughs!

Seriously though, I've NEVER been more comfortable in a car, and neither has my co-pilot/wife. (She did nag me a bit while I was driving the twisties... until SHE got a chance to drive it. Now she has a grin almost as big as mine!)

When yours turns up, and you first hit the gas, the wait will be worth it!

I think the brand is 'Autotechnica', comes in a see-thru case about 2 feet square. I got the 'medium', I wouldn't suggest the small.

I go to 'SuperCheap' and always come out with the WRONG things! Last was 2 x 10 litre plastic fuel cans for when i'm doing 'track' just that I didn't check that the WHOLE fitting as with them, some ars**wipe had knocked them off! Lucky another guy at the track had a few so gave me one

Not sure when I will get the 86 out next, booked for 1,000km service next Monday 4th but only 663km on it - so I hope it's a fine weekend coming up

About to go home before I can't get home!! almost 100mm [4 inches] at my place from 5.00am to just after 9.00am and still hosing down!!

Sacs - have you got used to the remote yet? I lock the car then if I walk close it auto opens! So I touch the ripples on the door handle to lock it and run!! I can always 'remote' from 20ft away I guess!

Picking mine up on Thursday. Reading these comments is making me very very very excited.

I will be driving it back from Melbourne to Adelaide so I will report on how comfortable it is after a nice 9 hour drive

Dude you better be taking the great ocean road back!! It was an amazing way to get to know my BRZ. I left Melbourne mid afternoon and took a motel @ Warnambool.

PS. Been ages since I've visited this thread, congrats to everyone on their cars. :happy0180:

I know what you mean about car parks. Trolleys, other car doors slamming into yours, and those damn speed humps everywhere!

Haha, I think the grin on her face is approval.

I think when mine turns up, I'll be in disbelief!!

Thanks for the brand name, I might just get a large and i'll sleep outside with the car

I don't think I've ever gone into Supercheap, and just bought what I need, there is always something random that I buy. Usually some cleaning products or tools... You can never have enough of either.

Damn, I hate when people knock-off parts off products. At least someone was nice enough to give you one.

I hope for your sake its good weather :happy0180:

You will LOVE it!! Turn the radio up because around 4000rpm in 4th the induction noise starts to drown it out - better still, just turn the f***** radio OFF and enjoy the sound!!

I am!! I still go to the garage door, turn the light on and just stare! Lucky my garage can be accessed from inside the home!

Good weather? Raining now, just pulled 90mm out of the gauge since 4.00am this morning, so close enough to 12 hours, makes just on 400mm since Friday 15th

Just want 'dry' for 18 March, FULL day on the track at Lakeside but NOT in the 86! NB MX5 for that!
