It's close enough to the point where you may be the only one who will notice. It's fresh paint too, so maybe after a few weeks, it'll blend together perfectly.

The color looks ok to me.
It could be just the lighting. Park your car in a garage and shine a light source from behind the bumper and the color will look ok.

It's a little lighter but there's often a little variance from metal to plastic.
Different angles in lighting and viewing will give different results. Light source can also play a large role.

I would compare it under sunlight. I had a fender on my IS300 that would look normal under cloudy conditions, but under full sunlight it was way off.

Would be nice if the scumbag said hi to the front of a moving bus.

My whiteout looks off from bumper to fender factory. It's just the light, you'll be the only one who will notice it.

That's normal. Bumper and fenders usually have some paint mismatch because of the difference in materials between the two (plastic vs. metal). It was most likely already like that before but you only started noticing it now because you're scrutinizing the area.

Next time you're at a dealership take a look at some new cars, you'll find a lot of them off. It's because the bumpers and body are painted separately. Bumpers are mixed and matched to be the "best" match to the body color but rarely is it exact. Mismatch paint becomes more noticeable on light, metallic colors too.

Just hater's hating. We had the same issues on the Supra forums, Impreza forums and BMW forums. Sometimes it's because you cut off the wrong guy or cheating on some chick, but most of the time its jealousy.

It sucks because you know nothing about the owner of the car. They could be one of the nicest people in the world. Plus, messing with an innocent car is just wrong... If you have beef with the person then take it out on their face at least, not the car.

I just read page 1 only so forgive me if my comments aren't 100 percent relevant to the last post.

In my business life I have been screwed over, ripped off, cheated, slandered...all the things that would make you want to cause malicious damage to a perpetrators property.
However, even last month when I made a really big sale and due to a ridiculous formality they gave 2/3 credit to another rep who always gets sales from other people...enough $ to pay off my car during a period I have been starving for months while this guy is regularly "fed" to absurd levels...The thought might pass through my mind, but I am not a criminal and unfortunate circumstances will not make me partake in criminal behaviour ever.

That said, it is either a very bored and unhappy kid who isn't mature enough to think about the consequences, or is it a random person or a person you pissed off who is willing to partake in criminal activity to express anger or envy. You only want to avoid this type as your exposure to them and their wrath can only be harmful.

Either way, I'd consider a Blackvue or similar if you will continue parking in the same place after the repairs.
