Hello! I want to say I am proud to be apart of this community finally! I've been looking for a car for the past 5 months and have gone through tons of options between wrx, z cars, m cars, gen coupe, and the list goes on. Being a long time reader, I felt like I could finally make an account after I finally settled on a manual whiteout frs TODAY!! The car came off the truck and had all the wrappers on it this morning. I couldn't pass up the deal! Too excited to sleep tonight. It's nice to have a car finally, especially after driving a mini van for 5 years! I'm located in so cal and hope to see fellow members around soon! I can't wait to attend meets and finally get into the whole car community! Hope to talk to you guys and gals on the forum and at meets!

Congrats. Going from a mini van to this is like being re-incarnated from a life of dullsville to glorious opportunity on a daily basis. Good decision and welcome.

Fell into this forum while looking around the Interweb for FR-S/BRZ information.
Currently daily an 08' Eclipse GS 5spd since I sold my weekend car, a 1997 Eclipse GST Tuned on E85, and bought an engagement ring.
I've been following these cars since selling my 03' 350Z, and terribly miss RWD.
The fiance wants me to hustle and save these next few months to buy one of the two, I could care less as long as I get a decent price, then start saving for our wedding. She absolutely loves these cars.
So, I look forward to reading more and more on here, and following a few builds.

Used to own an Eclipse myself. A 98 GST, actually. Sold it almost 8 years ago for my tC, which I just replaced with an FR-S.

Funny. I owned a 09' BSP tC before the GST, but AFTER three other DSM's. Haha!
Would honestly rather own another GST/GSX instead of most newer cars.
Here's a peek at a fraction of cars I've owned in the past ten years.

I had a beatup 1990 Talon TSi AWD that I absolutely LOVED. I learned how to drive stick in that car. Probably one of my all-time favorites, even though it gave me the most headaches. Probably spent more time on a flat bed than it did on the road. :P But for $2,200 it was one of the best fun-per-dollar cars I owned.

I've driven a dozen or so manual transmission cars, and this one is one of the best. I think the S2000 is close, but at least the one I drove showed its age. I hear wonderful things about Porsche gearboxes, but I also hear them compliment the FR-S. Consider yourself spoiled!

Hello from Japan

Hi guys, I'm James from UK, but moved to Japan 5 years ago.

Currently negotiating with my local dealer with regards to an "RC" model 86. I am hopefully getting given an ex-press car to use for racing this year as part of a sponsorship deal.

Become an 86/BRZ geek lately so I have started this facebook page.

Please check it out and give me a like/share if you feel like it.

My facebook page for FRS/86/BRZ

And if you guys are really bored here's my Youtube channel with lots of videos of me drifting, and some rallying from the past few years
