I know, I've always thought it was kinda strange to have a huge blank spot right there. Was like "They couldn't have given us a 2nd cubby there instead? Lol

After thinking about it, probably right. Need to find some of that smoking spray paint folks use for the head/taillights. Thinking the FR smoked black, R smoked red.

Something like this maybe?

Noticed some of you all are running the perrin lightweight crank pulley. I have been doing some reading/research and wanting to upgrade myself. Was curious if anyone else came across the "Go Fast Bits" lightweight pulley set. It contains the crank pulley, plus both a water pump and alternator pulley.

Anyone out there with more knowledge than I, think that there would be a benefit to the set as opposed to just the lightweight crank pulley?

The set would be more beneficial, and one day I plan on getting the other pulleys. I just figured I would spend money on things I know would net more gains.

I agree for sure. Unfortunately, I am leaving SATX soon to start my career in California/San Fran. Besides MUCH higher taxes (another topic), I have to be careful what exhaust/engine modifications I do that arent CARB/dealer/factory installed. I figured if I swapped all three pulleys and later got a the larger TRD intake (overpriced I know)...it would hide the pulleys.

Pulleys I'm pretty sure don't need to be Carb certified as they don't effect the emissions of the vehicle.

I does (though it wasn't full "stuck-down"). The little floor mat FRS decal would actually go perfect there though. Size of it definitely looks better on the dash area than the rear-lid badge.

Exactly why I am interested in the GFB pulley set. Want to place order, but was hoping someone local had sometime to help me with the install when they arrive. I am located on the north side, near la cantera. Dont know how much labor will be involved, but I will provide libations if need be. As I have mentioned before, my tool spread is limited as is my non-existent garage space. Therefore, Ill take any hand outs I can get. Dont want to pay the toyota/scion dealer or local shop for something it seems many of you all have already mastered.

Check this thread out! We've got a twisted sisters run on the 16th and most of us are going to be at coffee and cars tomorrow from 7a.m. until 10 a.m.

Also, Harris Hill is having an event today and we may want to consider checking it out as spectators rather than doing the Sisters Run after Coffee and Rides....

A few parts coming in this week. These will be my first mods to the 86 as she is still a virgin at 10090 miles. What are the suggestions on the install? Should I do them myself or take'em to some place? GReddy axle back, cold air intake, crank pulley and shifter bushing. I've no experience in doing these type's of things thus far.
