According to Toyota/Subaru they share 100% of the same sheet metal parts so if that's true, then yes, they'd swap over. However for all we know currently they are the exact same lights.

Well from the concept they showed of the production model of the BRZ the metal around the tail lights looks more square, but that's just from computer rendering and drawings right now.
They said the cars are made in the same factory so I don't think the sheet metals are gonna be too different. If it's possible to swap out the tail lights that's like gonna be the first thing I'm gonna do to the car, cause right now the tail lights makes the care look like a depressed and angry middle aged man. |

I wouldn't rule out the taillights being different shape, even with the same fender stamping. Since it appears the taillights are primarily surface mounted [not strictly flush], it's possible the outer edges could be left up to each brand, only sharing hardpoints and overlapping wherever the sheetmetal cuts off.
I'm not saying this is how it'll be, only that it's possible.

The original headlights aren't bad but I think they would look better in a satin black instead of chrome....same with the rear tail lights...make them all red or satin black....i only like the chrome tail lights on my IS300 (the original car with chrome tails) |

You know it might come with a shark fin in the states. We can hope. The license plate light you can easily change out with LED.
