Just googled it. It's a 10 hour drive... I may be flying instead... But I know of a couple places in Oregon have BRZs as a rental. Maybe i'll get fortune enough to get one of those.

I head up that way each summer. What time of year were they thinking of?

What a great idea! I wonder how much interest there would be here for a Norcal camping trip (plenty of great places/roads). It would be great to have a whole West coast gathering, but we can't even get a meet with socal, lol. Planning on heading that way myself for dirtfish mid-March.

I am already planning on a Trip to Oregon to check out the state and visit a friend that moved there (contemplating permanently moving to Oregon in a couple years). It would be awesome to be able to go to a meet up at the same time. I'd be down with going to the July 20th/21st for the camping trip. I'll be staying in Seaside the week- 2 weeks that i'll be there though.

Awesome place to live in. One big advantage of being an Oregonian is no sales tax. But it's cold and raining here all the time.

lived in Socal/Norcal

Biggest differences
1. Lanes in SoCal are narrower
2. NorCal weekends have zero traffic, SoCal can get crowded sometimes
3. NorCal commute traffic in rush hour is brutal and about the same as SoCal maybe a tad worse in the denser areas. ie: 101 from South Bay to SF or 680 from San Jose to Stockton/Dublin/Livermoore on Fridays.
4. SoCal people say "the" 5, "the" 60, "the" 215, "the 91"; NorCal people say freeways by their numbers, 680, 880, 101, 280, etc.

Yet can have a meet for whatever reason. A camping meet would be killer, but I really think our summer meet should be in SLO and be a huge annual one with SoCal. Like BAM but bigger.

But on topic for here we should definitely have a meet while OP is here.
