Which pads do people use on the Sprint Kit when not at the track? I've read that it's better to swap out the track pads for less aggressive pads when daily driving between track days.

I'm currently using some AP S100s, once they are dead (in a few years.. at this rate like 5-7 years) I will switch to something else. I'll probably get bored and switch to try out other street pads before they are more than 20% worn really. Doing the same with the track pads, trying out some CL RC6E's this weekend

haha its not even worth my upgrading the pads in the stock calipers again, 500 on pads is 25% of a sprint kit haha.

just sucks that i cant use stock wheels on my car once i get the sprint kit.

You could if you use spacers

That is release, not bite.

Both are a function of pad selection.

After seeing what some other shops have done with the stock brakes and just fluid, lines, and pads, I am pretty confident the stock braking system will hold up to our driving/tracking needs.

Will it be the cheapest way to go in the long run? No, but nothing about racing is cheap, and we'd rather have the 2 NASA TT points to use for other things.

Picking our car up on Friday. April 6th will be spent at Autobahn North, April 7th at Gingerman, April 12-14 at Deal's Gap/Tail of the Dragon, and the weekend after that at Autobahn South with NASA in the cars first NASA TT event.

Hopefully after those events, we'll have a good idea of the stock braking systems capabilities...we have high hopes!

Guessing front aero....

I want to visit the Dragon....

And I think the stock system is plenty sufficient

I would echo the thoughts on this thread. The stock system is fine for my current, mostly stock setup.

I'm running Ferodo DS2500's all around with Motul RBF600 flushed in the stock lines, skidding around on the stock 215 Michelins (camber bolts only). I have no issues with the brakes and find them to be consistent and responsive.
