But is there anything to keep someone with the Pro or Personal version from editing those maps? I was under the impression there wasn't. The maps aren't locked to a specific ECU or license key like Ecutek but maybe I'm wrong. |

no, no you really don't E-mail tunes have their drawbacks aswell, what you want is a tuner to tune YOUR car at a dyno, and then leave it the hell alone, that is the biggest real problem with these user-accesible options is that people feel because they can they should and that is rarely the case. |

There are already Pro users in the states who have purchased the software recently. I think they are getting familiar with the features and tables before offering service.

Personal users are unable to open a Pro file to edit it. Lite users have no editing function at all. Pro users save their files in a specific format that allows personal users to load it. They also have the option to save the file in the format that can be read by a Personal user if they choose.

It'd be nice if Epifan did a deal with the taxtrix guys for a discounted combo.

So if a vendor wanted to make a base map and give it away so users of their intake or exhaust or whateverwidgettheywant they could save the tune so it is un restricted. Equally, if you then go to a pro tuner with that base map for a dyno tune, they can choose to lock or not lock the tuned file.

Yes, there is a IAT ignition compensation map. I believe the full list of maps was posted earlier in this thread.

I will be watching this.
Features that would basically seal the deal (who knows, some of these might already be there, I haven't looked into it) Boost control, preferably adjustable in some way without a computer (most important) launch control/two step (second most important) Other exciting things like map switching that can happen (exciting but don't matter at the end of the day for me) |
