these.

not only is the base stationary so you dont scrape the base of the rim, but they also have a lifetime warranty against rust and etc. i had them on my sti and i also had rays baller ass lugnuts which ended up fading, and then then stripping themselves after being retorqued.

people are posting lug nuts but realistically none of the project kiks, rays, etc can match the mcguards...none have a base that doesn't sping ths not scraping the rim, few have any warranty, and few come with locks.

these were them on my sti..after a year they looked the same.

and here is what some of these JDM brand looked like after a year of abuse and torquing...

now i'm not saying that will happen to you as well, but i had a bad experience.

this is the longer version of the mcgard's you can find online.

notice how its a two piece design, the base doesn't spin as you tq them down. the locking nuts dont have a spinning base however....

you can get them in black, chrome or gold. OR you can get them in black or chrome with any color top...but honestly just black looks nice and clean.

Watch out. Someone gonna steal 16 of your lug nuts and just leave the wheel locker there.

Is anyone using OEM Subaru locks? They came with my car as some sort of "package" and I was just planning on transferring them when I swapped wheels for the summer

I've become a big fan of Project Kics (owned by Mackin). I had both the R26 and Leggdura on my old s2000 and got the Leggdura again for the BRZ.

http://www.mackin-ind.com/portfolio/leggdura-racing/

The R26/40 line have that nice 2 piece design that won't scratch your rim if you're taking them off/on a lot but they're kind of pricey. The Leggdura has a great simple closed design that I really like and they're cheaper.

On my previous vehicle, I had the standard McGard wheel locks that came with my rims from Tirerack. I ended up snapping the wheel lock while rotating my tires (so that I couldn't turn it with the key) - brought it to a mechanic and he had it off in less than a minute.

I then ended up going with Gorilla "The System", which is a set of 20 wheel locks. Figured it might be a bigger deterrent than just the single wheel lock...
