18. Purchased the car on my own, thanks to a stable job and responsible saving. I don't blow my money on stupid stuff like most people my age do.

22. It was my present to myself for going to a state school and finishing with $8k in government-subsidized debt. My friends always ask me how I could afford such a nice car and the easy answer is that I chose a major that pays well (even in the internships) and while they were booking cruises for every spring break, I was saving up for a car.

I am 56 born in 1956 and my previous cars were Mercedes, Audi and BMW's my BRZ has been on order since Sept 2012 and is due to arrive in June 2013. I seem to be older than most of the people who have ordered or are driving a BRZ. All I can deduce is that we love driving and being in total control of our car's. My baby is a DRM BRZ with Eclipse Sat Nat, Reversing Camera plus Heated Leather Seats and a carbon fibre dash over $44,000 AU Dollars about (USD $46,000). Really looking forward to getting my new car.

Kudos on yields. Just realize, tho, that a car, even the BRZ, is a depreciating asset.

29 here - ordered it in advance so I'd be able to get it for my 29th. My quarterish-life present to myself.

Funny thing is, I work for another automaker.

34 here. I cross-shopped this car with the Focus ST pretty heavily, and actually had one on order. Either car was going to be a third car, so practicality was less of an issue. I am extremely happy with my decision. While the ST had some features I liked, I decided the BRZ was much more of an "adult" sports car and went with a BRZ Limited.

Quarterish life present? so you're thinking to live till you're 115-ish?
