Looks like its going to be Tanabe because of it being steel made vs. aluminum and Grimm Speed MBC for the same reason.

The tanabe center section is made from aluminum and the endplates are made from steel.

Oh ok, yeah the reason I went that route is because of that. I can't wait to install that and the MBC. Parts are on order.

Looks like the one mounted towards the rear uses two of the strut tower bolts and the one towards the front uses one strut tower bolt and the two tower to firewall bar studs, which have proven to be weak, so I'd pick the rear mounting option.

why do you want it to be steel instead of aluminum?

From my BMW days, strut tower bars that had pivot points were very frowned upon and generally considered cosmetic parts. I have the SRT bar, but mostly as a cosmetic piece as it compliments the two existing bars.

I have the tanabe and it does the job and was cheaper and in my opinion looks better. Only time will tell if it will hold up but so far so good.

Got a Whiteline and Tanabe coming in tomorrow or friday

The Tanabe is sold but the Whiteline might be available, i can get more of either and @whataboutbob has a Tanabe he will be selling when his Whiteline one comes in.

I'll be posting them up on my facebook page when they come in also, just another way of tracking your orders from me. I post pics when the parts come in and also text a picture of the shipping label to you when i send it off.

What are your thoughts on the differences between hinged and solid bars? Every company that offers a solid bar points out the difference, while those that sell hinged bars don't usually acknowledge the differences.

I'm pretty confident in Whiteline making a decent part and if they chose hinged i think its going to be fine. There may be some benefit to solid but the solid Neuspeed one i had on my TSX was a pain to actually get on the car.
