I don't. I drove one and didn't like it and have never thought of the tC again. :shrug: It was an automatic though, but either way the car wasn't worth selling other cars to buy and I didn't need another car.

I've owned an 05 since it was new. It is a very decent car. Not fast, not slow. Handles reasonably well. Decent MPG (I have an average of 25mpg over 105K miles*). Mine had a water pump failure at 80K that was covered by a warranty, but other than that nothing more than routine maintenance, which for me is more than most people*.

Can comfortably seat four adults. Cargo space is huge and will haul more than most people expect. Interior materials quality is pretty craptacular, but on par with anything else in it's price range and class.

*I have tracked mine (but it is not a stripped out, heavily modified track car, like Dragonitti's--he'll probably post in here eventually) at least twice a year since I bought it. Springs, shocks, brake pads, and regular fluid changes and still humming along nicely.

I can't decide if I am going to sell it or keep it when I get something else next spring.

I do not suggest the tC for a teenager mostly because of the higher than average insurance rates, but if you are comfortable with the premiums, it is a very safe, economical, reliable, and decent looking coupe.

The tC is a great looking car and a great value. However, it's front wheel drive, which for me is the end of the story.

i drive a 06 tc with 80K miles on it. about 45K of those miles have been boosted and i DD 10psi. the tC is a good machine. i can average 30MPG when i keep my foot out of the throttle. if you have any specific questions shoot me a PM if you like. also this car is so amazingly easy to work on. i went from 0 practical knowlege about cars to being able to buile my own motor with this vehicle. i will not get rid of my tC ever it's developed to much of a bond with me.

AFAIK, the tC has track potential. It has a similar suspension setup to the FR-S with Macpherson fronts and double wishbone rears, a light chassis, a manual option, and a hatchback.

I've had two (05 and an 08)..... I'm a little rough on cars, but i think that the TC is a very cabable car, (if you daily drive ) but I have a few issues with it. First the front swaybar and the rear springs are a PITA to change. Once you do change the springs and sways, the suspension bushing will show their weakness. My biggest gripes with the 1st gen TC were:
1. FWD.... cant do anything about that
2. Gears were too short and only a 5-speed which limited the top speed and reduced the gas-mileage (the 4 Cyl Camry had the same engine (2AZ-FE) and got better (31-ish) mpg while the best a TC could do was 27)
3. No limited-slip differential (addressed by TRD/Quaife in 2008 ......price $1500 before install)
4. all that back window and no rear wiper.

That is just me nit-picking but (2) was addressed in the 2nd gen tC as well as a 2.5L engine.

aside from that.... it's still a decent car.

Guess I'm the residential tC guru here....lol.

As Slydrin said, car is easy to mod if you want to go that route. And it's a decent DD if you are just a person who wants to go from A to B.

Since I like to get there in style, I had to mod mine, and then it kinda spiraled out of control into a track car...

I drive it on the street as much as possible and thrash on it at the track as well. It being FWD hasn't bothered me in the least bit. I've owned RWD and FWD. You just got to drive them differently that's all. Just because you are AWD or RWD and the other guy is FWD, does not mean you will automatically be faster than he is just because it's FWD. Some of them wish it worked that way...

Only electronically limited. Remove the speed cut and top speed is 145mph. Have the right managment and remove speed cut + increase rpms = Top speeds in the 160-170mph range. I top out at 150mph currently.

RWD isn't necessarily faster than FWD, but it's more fun, and that's what matters to me. That's why I never got a tC even though I like them a lot.
